Your Account

Your account is made up of 3 components: Users, Organizations, and Subscriptions.

Users

A User is an individual person who uses Catalyst for tax planning. A User has an email address and password to login to the system. Many settings are saved per user for an enhanced experience.

Organizations

You can think of an Organization as a business or any other grouping of shared users & clients. An organization is created by one user, but others users may be invited to share access to the data entered.

Users may be a part of multiple organizations - for example, a CPA may have a Catalyst Pro organization for work and also a Catalyst Plus organization for their personal projections. It is also possible for a user to work among two different Catalyst Pro organizations.

Organizations are containers for all saved data – clients, projections, and scenarios.

Note

Catalyst Plus and Catalyst Personal users are automatically placed into an Organization that only contains themselves.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are tied to an Organization. Catalyst subscriptions are annual, from the day purchased for 1 year. Renewals of a subscription will extend from the expiration date by one year, if still active, or from the date renewed if started later.
