Your Subscription

A subscription describes the duration of a paid plan with access to Catalyst Tax Insights. Subscriptions are tied to an organization, so only one member of each organization needs to purchase a subscription.

Viewing your subscription details

This page will show:

  • Your subscription end date, if a subscription is active.
  • An option to cancel, if active.
  • An option to renew, if canceled.
  • A list of all users in your organization.

Creating a Subscription

Catalyst Pro users are given a free 30 day subscription to try out the software. Catalyst subscriptions are sold for a duration of 1 year. When you are ready to purchase a subscription:

  • Click your organization name in the bottom left
  • Choose Your Subscription
  • Choose the button to Purchase Now or Renew your Subscription as appropriate
  • Your subscription will auto renew until canceled

Personal and Plus Upgrades

Catalyst Personal users are on the free tier and do not require a subscription. This tier is available for individuals and families. When you are ready to purchase a subscription to Catalyst Plus:

  • Click “Your Personal Records” in the bottom left
  • Choose Your Subscription
  • Choose the button to Upgrade to Plus
  • Your subscription will auto renew until canceled

Cancellation

Section titled “Cancellation”

Users can cancel their organization’s subscription at any time via the Your Subscription page. Canceled subscriptions remain in effect until their paid end date.

  • Click “Your Personal Records” in the bottom left
  • Choose Your Subscription
  • Choose the button to “Cancel my Subscription”
  • Your organization will remain available until the end of your subscription date

Catalyst Pro organizations require a subscription to access the system, any data, or run tax projections. If the subscription expires, no data will be accessible.

Catalyst Plus organizations are a subscription upgrade from Catalyst Personal. If the subscription expires, the user will still be able to use Catalyst Personal, however no previous data will be accessible.
